The Scathophagidae is a small family off Muscoidea which are often known as "Dung-flies". The name probably derives from the "Common Yellow Dung-fly" Scathophagidae stercoraria" which is one of the most abundant and ubiquitous flies in many parts of the northern hemisphere.

Woodlouse... or whatever...

A terrestrial isopod crustacean (suborder Oniscoidea) with a rigid, segmented exoskeleton, often capable of being rolled into a ball, found in damp, dark places, and feeding only on dead plant matter, usually lives under stones or bark.



Had to get me self down low on the ground to get him pose like this. Kinda' feel the urge to take him as my pet! :))
